The Lifetime Modem Replacement Warranty is a rapid exchange. If your modem malfunctions for any reason, we will replace it immediately to ensure that interruption in service is limited. If you encounter equipment trouble, describe how your modem is impaired to one of our dedicated customer service reps and they will supply a Return Authorization Number and mail out a replacement package. Enclosed within this package, you will find:
- Your new (identical or upgraded) modem
- Your Return Authorization ID Number seal
It is important that you have kept your original Comcast Installation CD. Run this again as part of the reinstallation process. Contact customer service if any components are lost or missing. Remember to mail the defective modem with your Return Authorization ID Number seal upon receipt of the replacement modem. A penalty fee of $99.00 will result if the modem is not returned after 21 days past the postmarked date the replacement modem was shipped to you.
